I’m so excited to be making this post – here are the first photos of my wearing the Katherine Pierce gown this weekend, finally finished!
The weather was beautiful on Saturday, so we went to out to the lighthouse to take some photos. (Although it was awfully bright, so a lot of those photos have me making squinty face in them.)
I had a great trial run with this gown, although there is one thing missing – the ribbon trim that goes at the top of the pleats on the skirt. (I won’t even go into the ordeal I had with the ribbon trim this weekend – yugh!)
I’m really excited to finally be done with this gown, which I’ve been calling the green monster – but I think all my work was worth it, because it’s my favorite costume to date, and probably the best thing I’ve ever made in terms of quality.
I have some more photos from this day to share in another post, as well as some stuff to post about making the apron (not a lot, I’m afraid, because I neglected to get many pictures of that, but it was pretty simple.) So — what do you think? I’m very happy with this photoshoot, despite my derpface and the sad state of my hair (it was in ringlets when I left the house, I swear!)
Wow it’s gorgeous! I love the colors and shape, and you look really beautiful in it.
Thank you! I’m honestly in love with the color of this dress ^^
Can you make another dress and sell it to me? :p
I’ve been searching everywhere for this dress!
❤
I do have this one up for sale if you are interested; you can find the listing here at my Etsy store. I’d be happy to do a custom order for you, if you want to get in touch with me through my shop, then we can discuss it. 🙂
Can you send the sewing pattern to my email-adress? It would be fantastic!
Thanks! ❤
(I'm not sure if sewing pattern is the word in English, I live in Belgium so I speak Dutch 😉 )
Where did you buy that dress?
Is there any ways to order this dress from you?
